In June 2011 I suffered a flood on my property in Florida, which flooded with 6 feet of water and stayed that way for 4 months as the water had nowhere to go. The city had to come and suck the water with machines. FEMA helped me at the time. I had invested $15,000 in this property; the land I was paying for and the portable house, which I bought separately, also financed, and I had it installed, including a well, a septic tank and an electricity pole, as the land was raw when I bought it. The owner of the land sold it to me silently about flood risks; but I didn’t try to investigate either, and that’s why I couldn’t sue him for my losses. All of this caused a great dislike for the place and in 2013 I decided to leave Florida, forever; but later I concluded that it was a blessing in disguise, as the entire state of Florida is expected to submerge and even the US Navy has maps of Florida’s future, which will be under the ocean. If you live in Florida, I advise you to leave!
